Smyth County Jam Bios

Doug Smith & The Wayfaring Strangers

Doug Smith & The Wayfaring Strangers - This is a very exciting group to have at the Smyth County Jam. Doug Smith & The Wayfaring Strangers plays a lot of family friendly songs that inclueds a lot of Johnny Cas songs. They also throw in a lot of Folk, Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. The band is made up of the following:

Doug Smith singing those great songs with a deep voice much like Johnny Cash. He plays guitar, harmonica, banjo and is learning the fiddle.

Jay Singleton on mandolin and vocals. He also plays guitar (acoustic and electric).

Kevin Singleton on banjo and vocals. He also plays the guitar.

Joe Arrington on standup bass and vocals. Joe also plays fiddle and guitar.

At times, Doug's wife, Krystal, is featured on autoharp, ukulel, piano and vocals. Some of Doug and Krystal's children may picth in from time-to-time.

We sure hope they'll come back to the Smyth County Jam soon and often.
