Jean Williamson - Jean was born in Baltimore, MD. She now makes her home in West Jefferson, NC. Jean has only been playing guitar since May, her diligence has paid off. She sings well and composes some of her own songs also; when the "inspiration hits her." she states! Jean says she followed her children to NC, after caring for her late husband who died of cancer, at the same time she was battling colon cancer herself. The Smyth County Jam is very happy to welcome Jean. Jean plays accordion and autoharp. She has been involved in music since she was about eight years old. She says she loves to hear Alison Krauss. Jean likes to quilt and play music.
