Eric Whitesell - Eric comes to the Smyth County Jam from Tazewell County. He was born in Augusta County, Virginia; however. He says a friend, Leroy Vanover, taught him to play guitar. He has been playing about six years, now. He is a delight to listen to; he tends to do ballad-type songs which are familiar to about all of us. He has a band called the Tazewell County Back Porch Pickers that performs a lot in the surround area.
His wife, Charlotte, plays slap-style bass. She is a native of Tazewell County.
