Norman Wallin

Norman "Mose" Wallin - Norman is from the Chilhowie area. He is a member of the Dry Fork Band. He plays mandolin. He says he has a brother who plays guitar--a little. Norman is retired from Brunswick. He has five children and two grandchildren. The Smyth County Jam gives Norman a big welcome to join us any time. Norman has been a bee keeper for about fifty years--that represents a lot of honey!! He admires the music of Rhonda Vincent and The Rage and Del McCoury. He says he is "single and looking" nowadays.

Norman "Mose" Wallin - Tuesday, April 25, 2017 Norman “Mose” Wallin crossed the river Jordan on April 25, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Zeke “Ez” and Ola Wallin, his wife Leigh Wallin and one son Shane Wallin, 3 brothers and one sister. Mr. Wallin was an avid beekeeper, mandolin player and was retired from General Dynamics. He attended Faith Fellowship Church He is survived by one daughter Helen Denise and husband Jan Blevins of Chilhowie, Va. Four sons, Jerry and wife Nellie, Mark and wife April, Darin Wallin and Benny Wallin all of Chilhowie. 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren 2 sisters Esther Mildred and Doris Blevins of Chilhowie. Funeral Services for Mr. Norman “Mose” Wallin will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 in the Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Robert Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Macedonia Church Cemetery. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home is serving the Wallin family.
