Chris Wade

Chris Wade - Chris is originally from Ohio, but is now at ETSU; enrolled in the Bluegrass Program there as well as being a Business student. He says he hopes to finish his education shortly and would like to stay in the east Tennessee area; more chance to play bluegrass music. Chris plays an excellent bluegrass style banjo. He is well versed in the Scruggs style, but equally at home with the melodic style. His rendition of fiddle tunes are hard to beat. He says he plays a little guitar. The Smyth County Jam is always glad to welcome the students from ETSU bluegrass program. Chris has a sister who has begun to play mandolin and his dad "messes" around with the bass. Chris' grandmother plays organ. Chris says he admires the banjo music of Noam Piackley who is a member of the Punch Brothers band.
