Three For The Road

Three For The Road - This band made an appearance out of the blue and we were charmed by their style.

Chris Anderson is playing bass with the band. You can bio under the Bios section of the website. The Smyth County Jam hopes they will return soon and often to our stage.

A father and son made up 2/3rds of the band:

Zac Saltz says he is a full time student and holds down a full-time job! He must be a very busy fellow, and an ambitious one! He also plays about any brass instrument, along with handling a guitar quite well. Zac has an amazing voice and stage presence and likes the music of Tony Rice.

Danny Saltz is the father of Zac; both play an assortment of instruments including: bass, guitar, mandolin and both are singers as well. They live in the Meadowview/Glade Spring area. Danny says his uncles on his dad's side most all played music and that he where he learned to play about forty years ago. Danny has three children, two girls and Zac, all play some sort of music. He is employed by People Incorporated. Danny says he admires the music of Tim O'Brian.
