Them Travelin' Birds - Tracy Hui and Cassandra O'Connor. Here are two new comers to the Smyth County Jam, originally from California. They have been on the road for six and a half months; travelling in a mini van. They are going throughout the country playing gigs and soaking up local culture. Both Tracy and Cassandra are musicians/singers. Tracy plays banjo and says he also plays drums, guitar and more instruments. He has played music most of his life. Both his parents play music. Tracy's favorite musician is Calvin Keyes (a guitarist) He has no real favorite song/tune. Cassandra plays guitar and writes songs also. She says her mother plays a 'little' guitar. Cassandra likes folk music, one of her favorites being Joni Mitchell and the late Amy Winehouse. She has been playing guitar for about two plus years. The name of their band is "Them Travelin' Birds!". They are on Facebook. Cassandra says they saved an exteremly long time to get to maket his very exciting trip. This duo sing well together; the Smyth County Jam is happy they stopped here to play for us. We wish them good luck and wonderful discoveries on their journies.
