Ethan Taylor - Ethan comes to the Smyth County Jam from Swords Creek, Virginia. This is his first trip to our venue; we are pleased to welcome him. Ethan plays several instruments: mandolin, guitar, bass, fiddle and also sings quite well. He says with a laugh: "no banjo!" There is no one in his family that plays music. Ethan cannot read music and plays solely by ear!! He will be attending Radford College shortly; taking a double major in accounting and finance. Ethan says he likes to listen to his mentors such as Adam Steffey, Wayne Benson and Darrell Webb. We hope he will return to the Smyth County Jam now and then as he is able.
