Bob Stanberry - Bob does not come to The Smyth County Jam nearly often enough. We would like to see and hear from him more often! Bob plays an old Harmony guitar; he says it is about forty years old. He threw it away once , and decided to retrieve it. It has a great sound, we are glad it was saved! Bob is an outstanding singer as well as guitarist, and very modest about his talents. He was born in Konnarock, VA and now lives near Lodi, VA. Bob has been playing guitar since he was about six or eight years old. He admits to 'messing around with a fiddle and a mandolin, but says he does not do a lot with them. Bob likes to listen to John Denver, Neil Diamond, The Eagles and says he could mention many more whose music he admires. Several years ago Bob had a band called "Lodi."
