Darrell Rowland - Darrell was born here in Smyth County, VA. He has been involved in music and singing for many years. Darrell plays bass, as well as guitar. He is an excellent singer also. The Smyth County Jam is fortunate to have Darrell show up to jam with us! His father-in-law, Roy McMillan, who lives near Winston Salem, NC has had a large and lasting influence on Darrell. Darrell played with the band, "The Mountain Ramblers " from Galax for a good while, as well as playing with Charlie Monroe the last two years of Charlie's career.
