Smyth County Jam Bios

James Richardson

James Richardson - The Smyth County Jam is happy to have James Richardson; this is James' first time at the jam. James comes to us from Bristol, Tennessee. He plays the banjo and a little guitar, as well as sings some. James is a senior at Tennessee High. He says he is undecided where to go to further his education; perhaps to Northeast State. He has an older sister. James says his great-uncle, Dilman Harrington, played fiddle with Bill McCall's band. This is his third year playing music. James says he likes girls, hunting, fishing and bluegrass music; not necessarily in that order! His favorite musician is Jason Burlson who is a member of Blue Highway. The Smyth County Jam hopes James will come back to our venue whenever he can do so.
