Gary Phillips - We welcome a local fellow to the Smyth County Jam--Gary Phillips. Gary plays bass, he also states he plays "a little mandolin and fiddle." He is not currently involved with a band. Gary says his granddad played both fiddle and guitar. Gary is a science teacher at Northwood High School in Saltville. He says he admires Bill Monroe probably the most of all musicians.
