Garland Moore

Garland "Pretty" Moore (1931-2008) - Pretty loved bluegrass music as much as anyone I have every met. He loved to sing the old songs with "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "Don't Go Out Tonight Little Darlin'" being two of his favorites. I played with Pretty on many occasions at the fiddlers conventions and events in the surround areas. He was a long time friend of Raymond White who was hard to beat on the fiddle. You would always find him at the fiddlers conventions with his RV with "Bluegrass Survivors" on the back. I was proud to be one of the "Survivors" on many occasions.  Pretty had a way of becoming the center of attraction at the many jams in the area. He will be dearly missed at the Smyth County Jam.
