Thomas Herbert - Another visitor comes to the Smyth County Jam from a very long ways away. Thomas Herbert comes from Franken, Bavaria (Germany). He says he heard about the jam from Wayne Henderson; that Wayne sent him to us. He is just beginning on guitar, and sings also. Thomas is a mechanical engineer, working with heat pumps. He is in the USA for about ten days this time. Lately, Thomas has founded a Bluegrass Association in his city. We hope that it will thrive there. He says he does not have a special favorite musician, but likes all good bluegrass pickers.
