Emily Hammer - Emily hails from Richmond, Virginia. She is attending Washington University in St Louis, Missouri. Emily is a French major and will be a senior in the fall. She plays guitar and is a singer. She says many of her mother's family played musical instruments. Emily likes the sound of Old Time music probably best. She admires Doc Watson and Gillian Welsch. We at the Smyth County Jam wish and her friend Alena Wheeler the best in their endeavors with their Crooked Road project and all else they undertake.
