Katie Griffin - Katie's home is in Eden, North Carolina. She is currently enrolled in the Bluegrass Program at ETSU, Johnson City, Tennessee. We are pleased to welcome Katie to the Smyth County Jam. Katie playing fiddle for eleven and says she plays a 'little guitar, also she is a singer. She plays with the Clinch Mountain Misfits and with Bobby Atkins and the Countrymen. She was encouraged by her grandfather, when she wanted to give up music. Her favorite musicians/singers are Alison Krauss and Hunter Berry. A favorite song is "Down in the Willow Garden." We extend an invitation for Katie to come back to the jam any time.
