Smyth County Jam Bios

Randy Greer

Randy Greer - Randy is Jacob Greer's father--the apple sure does not fall far from the tree in his case! Randy makes his home in West Jefferson, North Carolina. We are glad to see him and Jacob here at Smyth County Jam. Randy plays guitar and sings quite well. He says he plays "a little bass" also. He has been playing music about thirty-eight years. Randy is self-employed. He says his father played guitar. Randy prefers mostly gospel bluegrass music, and he is in a band called "Heritage", who play that special type music. He says he likes "most of the old stuff "and has too many songs that he likes, to mention a favorite one. Good to see him here and hopefully, he will return again to sing and play for us at the Smyth County Jam.
