Smyth County Jam Bios

Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards - The Smyth County Jam welcomes a new visitor to our stage. Robert Edwards is a member of the "Hollow Ground Bluegrass Band." He is the son of Millard Edwards. Robert makes his home in Gray, Tennessee. He plays guitar and sings with an outstanding voice. Robert is a K-9 officer in Johnson City, Tennessee. He is the father of three sons. His brother plays some music, but not on stage, Robert says. He has been playing since the age of fifteen. Robert likes outdoor activities; such as hunting, fishing, horseback riding and motorcycles. His favorite musician is Russell Moore of “Third Tyme Out”. A favorite song of Robert's is "The Darkest Hour." We hope he can come back to the Smyth County Jam and bring his entire band many times after this visit. Millard Edwards is Robert's father and is an exceptional banjo picker/singer, who is also a member of "Hollow Ground Bluegrass Band."
