Smyth County Jam Bios

Double Time Band

Double Time Band - The Smyth County Jam welcomes some newcomers to our venue! The Double Time Band currently consists of three members:

Kayley Thomas, age fifteen, who is a multi-talented young lass. Kayley plays a fantastic guitar, fiddle and several other instruments, in addition to being an excellent singer. She says she has played fiddle for seven years and guitar only two. She is a freshman in high school and looks to a career in pharmacy later in life. Kayley is from Kingsport, TN. She says she likes Rhonda Vincent and Larry Sparks.

Next we have: Nathan Aquino who lives in Blountville, TN and like Kayley, is fifteen and a freshman at Sullivan Central High School. Nathan plays banjo, sings and admits he plays guitar a little. He has only played banjo for three years, but is quite polished, both in his playing and his stage presence. Nathan likes Jerry Keyes, Paul Williams Band and Flatt and Scruggs.

Last, but not least, we welcome Mike Smith who hails from Kingsport, TN. He plays bass. Mike says he was brought up playing in a church group. He admires the original Chuck Wagon Gang. Mike works at a car dealership. We invite them all back any time they can come to the Smyth County Jam.
