Jason Blankenship - Jason is from Coeburn, Virginia , where he is in his senior year at Coeburn High School. We are very glad he has come to visit the Smyth County Jam. Jason says he plays fiddle, guitar, mandolin and bass! His great-grandfather played fiddle, and Jason has his fiddle, to carry on the musical tradition. Jason studied music since he was in the second Grade. He is a member of the "Hollow Grass Bluegrass Band". Jason is planning to attend East Tennessee University in the fall and to major in Criminal Justice. He says he may look into the bluegrass program there also. Jason likes all types of music and has no favorite song.
